Brittney Wytch, M.Ed.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Student & Counseling Intern

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student, I am continuing to learn and explore which therapeutic modalities resonate most with me as I grow into this field
.

One thing I strongly believe is that no two people are exactly the same, which is why I do not believe in providing "cookie-cutter" services. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals into therapy, and I strive to tailor my approach based on the unique needs of the individual sitting across from me.

What I know with certainty is that I want to create a space where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are — without judgment and with the freedom to be fully themselves.

I believe therapy should meet people where they are in their journey. Whether you're navigating life transitions, stress, relationships, emotional challenges, or personal growth, my goal is to walk alongside you and support you in making meaningful progress toward the life you envision — one step at a time.

My Background

Before entering the counseling field, I earned a Master's Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Emotional Behavioral Disorders.

Through my work in education and case management, I have had the opportunity to support families from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, abilities, and emotional needs. These experiences strengthened my passion for
  • Advocacy
  • Empathy
  • Personal growth
  • Creating supportive environments
  • Helping individuals feel seen, heard, and valued

I approach counseling with curiosity, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others build on their strengths while working toward their goals.

What It's Like to Work With Me

🌱 Therapy Doesn't Have to Be Heavy
I believe that laughter and lightness have a place in the therapy room. Healing isn't always serious or heavy, and I welcome the full range of who you are — humor included.

💛 Every Person Is More Than a Problem
For parents, I want you to know that I don't see your child as a diagnosis, a checklist of behaviors, or a presenting problem. I see a whole person. I also understand that when a child is struggling, the entire family feels the impact.

🧩 Understanding Growth Across the Lifespan
My background working with individuals from infancy through young adulthood — across education, case management, and advocacy — has given me a deep appreciation for how people grow, how early experiences shape us, and how to connect with individuals at different stages of life in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.

🚶 You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out
For adults navigating change, uncertainty, or personal growth, you don't need to have all the answers before coming to therapy.
That's part of what therapy is for.

✨ No One-Size-Fits-All Therapy
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to anything, and therapy is no exception. What works for one person may not work for another, and I believe part of the process is discovering together what works best for you.

🎯 My Goal

My goal is simple: for every person who sits across from me to leave feeling more understood than when they walked in.

"It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then." — Lewis Carroll
